The Detroit Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a volunteer-driven group of young professionals, ages 21-40, living and working in the Metro Detroit area, dedicated to raising awareness for type 1 diabetes (T1D) as well as raising the dollars needed to fund the most promising type 1 diabetes research.

The YLC meets monthly to initiate and plan several yearly functions of interest to them and their peers, including both social networking and fundraising events, which are ongoing.

Our group is comprised of individuals all fighting for the same cause. Whether they battle the disease daily, stand alongside a loved one fighting or chose to join simply to lend a helping hand, the end goal is the same: find a cure.

To join the Detroit YLC, please contact: Volunteer President Laura Taylor at jdrfylcdetroit@gmail.com.
